I think one of the most unique things about me is my depth of experience. I’ve made lots of organic records in the studio with live session musicians and have also made tons of completely programmed pop records by myself. I can score string and horn parts, but I also know how to use AI to create or flip a sample and create a unique sound. I have DEEP music theory knowledge, and I know my way around chords way better than most “beat makers.” I get calls all the time from a lot of other producers just because I have chord options for daysss. Most importantly, I’m a SONGWRITER who’s written thousands of songs and has done countless co-writes on both the indie and major level in a ton of genres, so I’m comfortable working with anyone. Finally, I’m a kind human being who always approaches the people I work with with love and positive energy. No one wants to work with a jerk.

YES! I was an artist for many years before I became a producer, and have written thousands of songs. I still write about 3-5 songs a week. I love the craft and challenge of songwriting and have always been OBSESSED with making songs that feel special and unique. I have a ton of experience co-writing, and I can easily help guide you to making the best songs you’ve ever written using the techniques I've learned from songwriting pros.

NO! I actually love to write songs from scratch with artists I work with. When we write this way, I can make sure the quality of the songs is the best it can possibly be. Also, no one is attached to any pre-existing melody, lyric, or song concept. In my experience, working like this makes the entire process much easier and enjoyable for everyone!

Yes! I utilize AI tools all the time, and am so excited to see artists that were previously having trouble making demos finally get to the "finish line" using AI. I am not at all afraid to use it, and I have already produced a ton of songs that were started or finished using AI. I can easily take your AI demo and turn it into a radio ready master in no time!

Nope! During COVID I got really comfortable with collaborating with artists remotely and now I have clients all over the globe that I work with. I use a high quality streaming service to send audio to you remotely while we work, I can easily screen share if we need to look at the DAW together, and can even help produce your vocal remotely if you need help. I also help to all the remote artists I work with set up their home studio setup, and can guide you in purchasing the right gear if you’re in need of new/better equipment. We can make it happen!!

Absolutely! When you’ve already started an idea, that gives me insight into where your head is at and where you're wanting the production to ultimately go. That’s SUPER valuable information to me as your producer. I also have a passion for teaching and am NOT a “gatekeeper” when it comes to production techniques. I can still remember being brand new and being overwhelmed by all there is to learn, and I want to give you ALL the cheat codes to help you make better sounding music as fast as possible! YES! Part of this job is building your trust in me while we work together, and that means always having an open and honest line of communication. If you don’t tell me what you don’t like, I’ll never know what to change as I am NOT a mind reader…LOL. Please don’t be afraid to speak your mind about what you want and what you like (or DON’T) at any point during this process. I can promise you it is always my mission to make you feel comfortable enough to speak your truth, and get you to “HELL YES” as quickly as possible!

If we write something together, it’s a 50/50 split. I don’t care if I came up with 98% of the lyrics and chords, if we wrote it together at the same time: that’s how I treat it. If you come in with a pre-existing song and I make suggestions (that you agree to using) then I’ll normally propose what I think is a reasonable percentage for you to review and we can work it out from there. The way I see it, this is a creative collaboration first and foremost and my goal is not to steal your copyright. 

I will expect to share songwriting with you if I change any lyrics or chords you’ve brought in, or if I create memorable melodies within the track I produce for you. I will not expect to share songwriting with you if I’m strictly creating a music bed over your pre-existing chords and lyrics.

I typically share a percentage of the master with everyone I work with, as is standard practice for most producers today. It’s typically an 80/20 split, with you getting 80 points and me getting 20. 

That being said, I do NOT control the rights to your master, and you will be given all authority to use it in any way you can to succeed. In other words, if you get a potential sync license to use your song for a Dove commercial, I’m not going to get in your way. I never want to stand in the way of your success!
